Robert Etzler

Robert Etzler joined ANV in 2026 and serves as Executive Vice President of its Workers' Compensation platform. He holds the CPCU designation and has more than two decades of experience in the workers' compensation MGA space, having been instrumental in building several startup MGAs. His experience spans most functional areas of an MGA, including underwriting, operations, accounting, systems, data analytics, and business development. Prior to ANV, Robert served as Executive Vice President of Workers' Compensation at Paragon Insurance Holdings. He has also held senior roles at Midwestern Insurance Alliance, where he led the expansion of its workers' compensation product into California, Atlas General Insurance Company, and Arrowhead General Insurance Agency.

Robert graduated from UC San Diego in 2002.

Mike Beck

Mike Beck is a Senior Vice President of ANV Comp and has ties to QBE dating back to the inception of the MarketScout , as Mike was an employee at QBE that was hired by MarketScout. Mike’s strong underwriting capabilities are well known throughout the retail and wholesale distribution channels. He is viewed as a “Go-To” guy for staffing accounts and other challenged placements. Mike is the underwriter for several large accounts, over $1 million. Mike’s underwriting background also includes stints at QBE, ACE/Chubb, Travelers (WC assigned risk), and NCCI.

Matthew Feury

Matt Feury is Senior Vice President – Underwriting at ANV Comp, where he helps lead underwriting strategy and portfolio performance across the firm’s workers’ compensation programs. Based in Connecticut, Matt has been with ANV Comp since 2012 and oversees a team focused on wholesale distribution, underwriting temporary staffing, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, trucking, and other complex classes. He plays a key role in shaping risk selection, pricing discipline, and carrier alignment across the platform.

With over 20 years of experience in workers’ compensation underwriting, Matt specializes in complex and difficult-to-place risks, with a focus on class fit, rate adequacy, and long-term portfolio performance. His approach emphasizes disciplined underwriting over reactive loss analysis, enabling sustainable results across market cycles.

Prior to joining ANV Comp, Matt held underwriting roles with QBE North America, ACE/Chubb, Seabright Insurance Company, and AIG, where he developed a strong foundation in middle market and specialty workers’ compensation underwriting.

Jenny Lopez-Rogina

Jenny Lopez-Rogina is the VP, Director of Operations of ANV Comp, a national Workers’ Compensation specialist Managing General Agent (MGA).  She entered the insurance industry in 2008, working for a large multi-line MGA, overseeing their regulatory compliance.  Since 2012, she has assumed positions with progressively increasing responsibilities managing a variety of agency operations.   When the workers’ comp unit of the multi-line MGA was spun-off, Jenny assumed the roles Operations Manager, and subsequently AVP, Director of Operations of the new entity ANV Comp.  In her current role, Jenny is responsible for the effective administration, execution, monitoring and continuous improvement of all internal processes as well as maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers and Business Process Owners (BPOs).  Jenny holds an MBA degree and is a licensed P&C Insurance agent and a licensed Real Estate agent.

Kirt Thompson

Kirt, based in Dallas, is responsible for the implementation of Specialty Comp’s Claim and Loss Control Advisory Services. Kirt’s focus is to assure that the combined resources of Specialty Comp, the insurance carrier, and other service providers are diligently applied to lower the total cost of risk to our customers. Prior to joining Specialty Comp, Kirt began his insurance career with ACE-ESIS as a workers compensation claim adjuster, and later served as the Corporate Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation Manager for one of the world’s largest plastic manufacturers. Kirt holds an MBA in Marketing, is a licensed adjuster in all P&C lines, a Certified Risk Manager (CRM), a Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) and a Certified Authority in Workers Compensation (CAWC).
